While in Plymouth you can explore the Hoe, have lunch on the Barbican, go to the cinema, visit the National marine aquarium or cruise the river or go for a boat ride around the hoe.

A unique, open-air museum, set amidst organic meadows on the beautiful River Tamar, this Victorian village was once the centre of an extraordinary copper mining boom. See the medieval dock, a port and mining museum feasturing a display of the Tavistock Canal, which was built between 1803-1817 and a 32ft overshot waterwheel. Smeatons Tower , Plymouth

One of the world's most famous lighthouses built by John Smeaton in 1759 on the Eddystone Rocks, (14 miles SW of Plymouth). It was moved to the Hoe in 1884 when a new lighthouse replaced it. Stunning views of Plymouth Sound from the top and a well-known landmark for sailors.
Plymouth Dome
Plymouth Dome is an award-winning visitor centre on Plymouth Hoe, overlooking Plymouth Sound. It tells the story of the great voyages that sailed from here to change the world. From Francis Drake on the Golden Hind to the trails of the New World Pilgrims on the Mayflower and the exploration of the south seas by Captain Cook.
